As temperatures drop and it sometimes gets cold and weary, the NQ Winter Show 2019 ensures that your spirits stay up.

Nuzhat Qazi organised the NQ WINTER SHOW 2019 on December 14 at The Yard in Sanepa. The show starred 20 models from the House of Fashion in which they showcased Qazi’s ready to wear winter collection.

“I mostly design clothes for fashion shows, but the ready to wear collection is manufactured here and made for Nepal. My collection is solely made by and for the local people itself”, says Qazi. The walk was followed by a ‘Pay What You Want Sale’, where Qazi’s designs from NQ Yesterday were showcased. It included her designs that were created for films, photo shoots, fashion shows and other special occasions. “I always wanted to sell my designs which have been created for special occasions in a nice way. Hence, I thought of having a ‘pay what you want sale’ and contributing half the money to CYF”, the designer says. This initiative of pay what you want for the clothes would contribute half of the sales amount to Children and Youth First (CYF), an organisation founded and run by Haushala Zimba that provides and ensures quality education to underprivileged children in Nepal.

There were two other stalls put up at the event. The first one which showcased Qazi’s ‘ready to wear’ winter collection including the designs the models wore for the walk. The second showcased winter accessories which included woolen mufflers and caps from Haushala Creatives.

The event also had live music performance by Subeksha Rai Koirala and Sandesh Rai Koirala.
