Bihani Social Venture conducts panel discussion

On September 27, Bihani Social Venture organised an interactive panel discussion at USEF Nepal, Gyaneshwor. The program was moderated by Haley Sanner, American Fulbright Graduate Student Researcher, and Samridhi Rana, Bihani’s Social Inclusion Specialist. In the program four panelists were invited from organisations supporting young adults transitioning to independent living, furthering education and making career decisions: Pragyaa Rai (Apeiron), Shrada Gurung (Mitini Nepal), Sazae Shilpakar (Rigel Girl’s Hostel) and Mun Maya Rawal (Himalayan Children’s Charities). Each panelist discussed the opportunities and the challenges faced by young adults with limited family support in Kathmandu. The panel discussion was followed by an interactive session with the audience comprised of the organisation’s members, older adult community members, and youth. They summed up their discussion with the idea that both youngsters and adults need to find balance between traditional living and adjusting to the modern times.
