Daayitwa completes its 8th Fellowship Program

On September 2, Daayitwa completed its eighth cohort fellowship program and held the Daayitwa Nepal Public Service Fellowship Symposium 2018 at Yala Maya Kendra. Maya Thapa, Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizens lauded Daayitwa saying, “If we want to make inclusive economic development in Nepal, it is impossible to fulfill that dream without the participation and determination of youth.”

The Daayitwa Nepal Public Service Fellowship Symposium celebrated the journey of the eleven fellows who worked with the Government of Nepal to produce meaningful research on different facets of Nepali governance, economy and society, and conducted a panel discussion about the research and significance of evidence-based policy.

The organisation has been partnering with the Government of Nepal to identify and apply innovative methods of research to find evidence for promoting entrepreneurship and strengthening governance. Since 2013, 89 Daayitwa fellows have worked with 20 public agencies and 25 parliamentarians to support high priority projects.
