When it comes to healthy hair, it’s not only about shampoo or products you apply. Healthy hair is a sign of overall health and habits. Women spend a lot of time and money to get perfect hair. After all your hair adds so much to your personality. It deserves all the care and time.

Don’t brush wet hair as it’s more prone to breakage. Use a wide tooth comb to de-tangle wet hair.

For frizzy hair, use hair serum. Hair serum moisturizes your hair with light oil or silicone. Use only a few drops as too much serum would weigh down your hair and make it greasy. Apply on the ends and lightly working it up the length.

Keeping yourself well hydrated from the inside will make you glow on the outside.

Always use a heat proctectant product before heat styling. These heat proctectant products come in the form of oils, serum, spray etc.

Avoid hair ties that has a metal end as it breaks your hair.

Instead of towel drying your hair, use an old t-shirt. Towel can make your hair frizzy and prone to breakage.

Hair breakage is often due to the hairstyles you make. If you’re just staying at home or don’t really care about the hairstyle, simply make a braid.

To avoid split ends, trim your hair every 6-8 weeks. You can do it yourself at home. Cut at least 1 inch above the split as split ends move up to the length.

Unhealthy, weak and limp hair is a sign of poor diet. If your body isn’t getting enough nutrition, neither is your hair. How you treat your body has an effect on your hair and skin. Remember to include fresh fruits, vegetables and protein in your diet.

He operates as a freelance photographer and has captured hundreds of models through his lens with great attention to detail, style and composition. Manish shares ways to be photo ready. Apart from having the right look, you need a certain set of qualities to look perfect in the frame. Here’s the list:

Grooming: This involves the very basics like taking a shower, washing your hair, brushing your teeth, shaving and trimming your hair. Use a lotion on your skin as you want to make sure your skin looks as healthy and vibrant as possible.

Camera friendly tip: Apart from being photogenic, if you freeze in front of camera, your shoot will not go as planned, no matter how attractive you are. It is important to learn how to be comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.

Body posture: Unless your photographer tells you to be inspired by those awkward, uncomfortable looking mannequins in clothing stores, hold yourself confident and high. You’ll look much taller and thinner if you keep your back straight and your shoulders back.  Whatever size you are, hold your stomach in as well if you want to look more toned.

Facial expression: The basis of a good look is a model that is comfortable in front of the camera, one who has a range of expressions and movement.

Team work: Don’t be too shy. Photographers are friendly creatures. Communicate with confidence. Do not hesitate to share your own ideas.

If you are thinking of taking modeling as a career seriously, you need to be dedicated to keeping yourself in shape and looking your best at all times.  It is important to eat well, exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep. Avoid junk foods and unhealthy lifestyle choices such as heavy alcohol consumption which will have a negative effect on your looks.
