Absolutely NO! But women are paid less in comparison to men. I will talk about the advertising industry as an example of; if you are a woman, than you will be paid lesser than a man. There are many researches been conducted on this topic. The reason could be because women take more leave to fulfil their family obligations, to take care of children and so on.
“Equal pay isn’t just a women’s issue; when women get equal pay, their family incomes rise and the whole family benefits” said Mike Honda.
My concern is also the same. There is no strong reason to pay a woman less than a man. Today it is an evident problem. Although women now have more economic opportunities, the barrier exists simply because of their gender. For me, in the workforce, a woman is just a person, same as a man. If that person gets the job done right, both should be paid equally. Thus it is absolutely not okay to pay a woman less for the same work.
