NFCC raises funds to support survivors of sexual violence
Nepal Fertility Care Center organised a Dashain Mela on September 28 at Labim Mall with the objective raising funds for the Asha Crisis Center which focuses on ensuring that survivors of sexual gender-based violence have access to a support network and can reintegrate into society. The funds would be used for their Crisis Center and their Drop-in Center, as well as to create awareness about violence against women. Students from Ullens School volunteered and helped at the stalls as well as contributed towards raising awareness about the cause as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Community Service Program. The Asha Crisis Center is a collaboration between NFCC and the Fantastic Females, a group of women who guide, fund, and represent the centre. Asha works directly with the One-Stop Management Center (OSMC), which is a government body, and is located in Gusingal, Sanepa. The centre’s main objective is to ensure survivors of sexual and gender-based violence have free access to all service, support, and assistance as guaranteed by the constitution.
