Overcoming Uterine Prolapse

Rural Health and Education Service Trust (RHEST) and Khema Nepal in association with Living Walls organised Breaking another Taboo: Overcoming Uterine Prolapse in Nepal at Hotel Royal Singi, Durbar Marg. At the event there was a panel discussion conducted with Kanak M Dixit, Dr Arnav Uprety, Radha Paudel, and Dr Gehanath Baral. The panel was moderated by Dr Laxmi Tamang. The discussion included the different dimensions of how uterine prolapse is still considered a taboo. Four women with the condition who have now undergone treatment – Sabi Devi Tripathi, Prem Kumari Dahal,Eku Maya Magar and Buddhi Maya Tamang – shared their heartbreaking stories about the physical pain and mental stress.
