Passion for Fashion – Rajesh Nepal

I launched my brand at the Bangalore Fashion Week where I showcased my designs inspired from the colours of our national flag while using Dhaka as the main fabric.

Rajesh Nepal joined the Indian Education Centre to learn designing. When his friends began their internship after graduation, he was already working full time as a lead designer with a major fashion house in Nepal. A self made person, Rajesh feels being entrepreneurial is equally important as being a designer. He launched his clothing line ‘Rajesh Nepal’ in 2013.

Besides a career in designing, Rajesh is also engaged with a Nepalgunj based social organisation called Mukta Kamalari that provides Kamalari women with trainings in sewing.

Fashion for you: When you know whose brand you are wearing and who made your clothes, this will truly prove to be the turning point for a fashion revolution in Nepal. I mostly use Nepali fabrics. I like working with hand loomed cotton fabrics and Dhaka.
