What made you want to become a makeup artist?
In my childhood, I used to put on makeup to look more feminine. It continued till I was in my teen years. I had few friends like me and they praised my makeup and asked for me to help them. Around this time, I got the opportunity to learn makeup from an international makeup artist which helped enhance my skills and interest. I visited Bangkok and Malaysia for further training and assisted with some shows there. I was very impressed by the professionalism of makeup artists there and the dignity their job gave them. Many among them were transgender and living independent and prestigious lives. I wanted that too and I wanted to be able to make that change in Nepal. Today I am the first transgender makeup artist in Nepal and am happy to have a name!
