Sri Lankan Food Festival

On May 23, Hotel Yak & Yeti held a press conference to reveal a week long Sri Lankan Food Festival being held in Kathmandu by the Sri Lankan embassy in collaboration with Hotel.

During the conference renowned Chef Dr. Publis Silva interacted with the media and explained the uniqueness of the Sri Lankan cuisine. The chef explained that the traditional Sri Lankan traditional food do not contain artificial flavours or animal fat, making it healthy and unique.

On May 25 Embassy the main event was held at the hotel, inaugurated by Hon. Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation on May 25 amidst a gathering of diplomatic corps, food bloggers, socialites, media representatives and leaders of tourism industry. At the event the guests got to taste a wide range of exotic dishes such as coconut roti, egg hoppers, fish ambulthiyal, brinjalmoju, watalappan (jaggery pudding) and thalakarali (sesame karali).

The food festival was supported by Qatar Airways.
