What do your family and friends like most about you?

I am really encouraging when it comes to supporting people that are close to me to stand up for themselves or to not engage in self-deprecation; it’s really important for me to make sure that people around me are doing right by themselves. And I am easily led, so it’s rather easy for me to be peer-pressured into going somewhere or meeting people even when I am tired and sleepy and its way past my bed-time.

What are the most important things for a marriage to work?

Trust and communication are key factors in the success of any relationship. It has a lot to do with how vulnerable and honest we are willing to be with each other.

What would be your commitment to your better half?

Different people need different things and there is no real set model for what kind of commitments a healthy relationship consists of. When we come together as partners, it’s up to us to be able to communicate about needs and expectations and figure out what our commitments to one another are that way.

WISH-LIST

Love or an arranged marriage…
Are these the only choices?

Your ideal partner
I don’t have preconceived notions of what is desirable and what is not. I tend to find certain things attractive. I like people who aren’t strict in their ideas of gender conformity. I like people who are creative and engaged into weird things. Besides that, I try to gauge how I feel based on how I react to someone rather than how I expect them to be.

Wedding Venue
Patan Museum

Music
If you’re asking me who I would want to serenade me and a number of friends and family on a magical evening… Kiran Nepali from Kutumba and The Sarangi Project and Sajal Pradhan, who’s doing very well as a sustainable-infrastructure entrepreneur.

Wedding attire…
I have always really fancied the idea of being in blue, it’s my favourite colour. Anita Dongre did something called Songs of Summer, I thought that the aesthetics were cool.

Food
Cake for sure!

Honeymoon destination…
I am caught between the idea of road-tripping for months around Nepal, or just lazing around in a warm sunny place, eating fruits and swimming.

An accessory that you would want to wear at your wedding?
A brooch, maybe more than one. I think they should pretty much be worn everywhere. I am mad at myself for not doing it more.

Who would you want to take your wedding pictures?
My fellow artist Bikrant Shreshtha and his wife Amy would do amazing work as an events/photography duo. People are obsessed to have them.
