Treat your taste buds at Mynt

From its chic settings to the warm lighting, Mynt Café exudes elegance. It is a popular outlet in one of the most luxurious hotels in the country – Vivanta but there is more reason to why this café should be next on your must-try list.  As soon as you enter the restaurant, you get a promising first impression – an oasis of calm.  It has a contemporary appearance with marble and wood dominating the place; the dramatic green walls give it vibrance.

The menu is just as interesting offering distinctive culinary options from comfort food to gourmet delights from across the globe. My pick of the best was from the Indian selection, pastas and a few items from the grill.

WHAT
WE TRIED

Spaghetti Bolognese

There’s a generous helping of meat and the sauce coats each noodle but doesn’t overwhelm the mix. Healthy and flavourful.

Grilled Pork Chops

The succulent pork chops are grilled to perfection with your choice of marinade: pesto, schezwan, chilli-cilantro or barbeque. It is served with vegetables and mash.

Murgh Biryani

This savoury Indian rice dish is loaded with spicy marinated chicken, caramelised onions, and aromatic spices. It’s cooked in a traditional clay pot locking the moisture of the ingredients, lending the dish a smooth texture and rich flavour.

Mutton Rogan Josh

This steaming hot bowl of fragrant mutton curry is loaded with turmeric, garlic and ginger. It’s delicious enough to spoon down alone, but we’d suggest you go with a fluffy naan or steamed rice.

Palak Paneer

Bolstered with ample garlic and a litany of spices from cumin to cardamom, this vibrant green gravy has an intriguing flavour and a lingering after-taste.
