I think one of the major reasons people fear ageing is fear of not being able to live a quality life: fear of severe disease, fear of not remaining as active as before, fear of not being able to do the work that you are doing now, fear of immobility, etc. To avoid that fear we cannot change the destiny of natural process but so many things are in our hand that we can do for living a quality life.
We have to change our lifestyle as we grow older. We should take care of what we eat and how we eat- quantity, quality and time. Moreover, doing regular exercise, keeping the mind peaceful, taking things as they come and not taking so much stress are other ways of living a healthy life.
I am not scared of growing old. I have seen people who have graciously grown old and I aim to do that. You will be gracious and beautiful when you are old too. You might have wrinkles, you might have grey hair but the real beauty is in the mind not in outer appearance. It is all about inner beauty and that inner beauty is always magical.
In my early 20s, I was already a mother of two. At that time when I did even not know the meaning of motherhood, I felt very old. But now I am 50 plus, independent, confident, enhanced with more knowledge and I feel younger. So, the concept of being old and young is in your mind, your attitude, and your response to life.
The only thing I fear is what if I have to live a life with no mobility and be fully dependent on others.
